VIENNA, March 7, 2017 -- NOVOMATIC Lottery Solutions (NLS), a wholly owned subsidiary of NOVOMATIC, has been awarded a three-year contract with an optional one-year extension, by Norsk Tipping AS, the national lottery of Norway. Under terms of the contract, NLS will design and manage instant games and digital versions of the Lottery’s Flax game for Norsk Tipping.
In addition, NLS has been selected to provide business development expertise in the area of interactive games.
Recently, NLS entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gamevy Ltd to provide innovative new instant win games to NLS customers. The partnership will combine NLS' market-leading lottery platform with Gamevy's unique content and flexible development capability, to deliver authentic, customized games to Norsk Tipping.
“Norsk Tipping is a lottery that prides itself on being innovative and bold in the sophistication of our technology and products. As such, we look forward to working with NLS in the years to come,” said Åsne Havnelid, CEO, Norsk Tipping AS.
Norsk Tipping offers a wide range of lottery, sports and instant games in the Norwegian market. Since its inception in 1948, Norsk Tipping profits have successfully supported the Norwegian sport and cultural sector.
“In the next three years, possibly four, Norsk Tipping will continually select from the extensive NLS eInstant game catalogue and award-winning game portfolio of our MoU partner Gamevy, and/or receive customized games developed by NLS exclusively for Norsk Tipping,” commented NLS Managing Director & CEO, Frank Cecchini. “The content NLS will deliver will ignite and renew player excitement in the Lottery’s eInstant portfolio and interactive games because NLS is truly committed to delivering new solutions and new standards to the lottery customers we serve.”
“Together with Gamevy, NLS has a wide-ranging game library, exciting roadmaps, and the capacity to develop customized games. NLS will support the growth and diversity of the Lottery’s eInstant portfolio, making Norsk Tipping games more attractive to a wider and younger audience – focus on mobile game development is a key success factor for eInstants in Norsk Tipping. NLS, with Gamevy, will be important partners for Norsk Tipping,” added Hans Erland Ringsvold, Head of VLTs and iGaming, Norsk Tipping.
