18 years ago this month – about the same time that Google first made its debut -- Slotland launched one of the world’s very first real money online casinos. The games have changed as technology creates new possibilities, but some things will never change: the company has been dedicated to customer service since Day 1. To celebrate its 18th birthday, Slotland is offering a series of casino freebies and bonuses throughout the month, and a brand new game will be unveiled next week.
“It’s hard to believe we’ve been doing this for 18 years,” mused Slotland’s long-time manager, Michael Hilary. “I mean, there was barely even an internet back then!”
After warming-up the party with a $15 freebie in the first week of October, the casino is currently offering 70% match bonuses and holding a $6500 Birthday Giveaway this week. Next week, a new game will be released and there will be a juicy up to $100 free bonus and up to 250% deposit bonuses to test drive the new game. Later this month there will be more freebies and 75-200% slots bonuses.
It’s been a big year for Slotland. Over the years, the unique casino had created a huge selection of one-of-a-kind slot machines not available at any other online casino. Its in-house designers created another amazing new slot game this year -- Phantom of the Opera -- but their focus has been more on video poker. Six new video poker games have been introduced since last fall: Deuces and Joker Wild, Joker Wild, 10s or Better, All American, Aces and 8s and Double Bonus Poker.
Phantom of the Opera takes players on a romantic journey backstage at the Paris Opera House. It’s a five reel slot with 4 rows that create more possible winning combinations than the usual 3-row slot. With a choice between Low and Hi bets, it has a very wide betting range: as little as 30 coins ($.30) per spin up to a max bet of1500 coins ($15).
Most of Slotland’s games are tied to one progressive jackpot. During its 17th birthday celebrations last fall, Charles M. won the site-wide jackpot that had climbed to $207,619 playing the retro-style Grand Fortune slot. Then in June, Samuel J won $223,167 – one of the casino’s biggest payouts ever -- playing the Air Mail slot game. Last spring, Slotland celebrated the 10th anniversary of its first mobile jackpot win, a record-breaking $163,114 progressive jackpot won on its first mobile slot game, Lucky Stars.
