San Francisco has been hailed as the “perfect” destination for the inaugural EGR North America Awards later this month as the Californian city prepares to welcome the iGaming industry for GiGse Totally Gaming from April 20-22.
The Awards, which will celebrate excellence in the North American online gaming industry and reward leading operators and service providers, will take place on April 20 at The Bently Reserve Banking Hall, San Francisco.
The Awards ceremony, which will take place after the first day of GiGse, will further enhance San Francisco’s growing reputation as a hub of iGaming industry talent.
“San Francisco is the perfect place for these Awards, not only because the great and good will be gathered in the city for GiGse, but also because it is a hotbed of innovative companies, and it's only right that our nominated gaming companies take their place alongside them,” eGaming Review Editor Tom Washington said.
“We recognise the unique challenges and demands of the US market, and given the real-money gaming and social casino industries in North America have undergone such rapid change and growth in the past two or three years we saw 2015 as the perfect time to start recognising the best gaming operators and suppliers out there.”
The Awards will feature 22 categories and a special host will oversee the evening of fine dining, drinks and celebration.
“Each category is judged by a carefully selected panel of industry experts who have taken the time out of their very busy schedules to first read all the submissions and subsequently thrash out between them who they think should win based on the criteria we set,” Washington added.
“We had an incredible amount of high quality submissions so this was no mean feat. This is about rewarding the great work being done across the sector and while it's the brands that get the credit, it's the people behind those brands who deserve recognition.”
