LONDON (30 January) – Exhibitors from throughout the world are descending on the ExCeL Centre in London to prepare for ICE Totally Gaming 2014. The world's biggest gaming event, which runs across the 4th/5th/6th February, features 503 exhibiting companies drawn from 57 nations and occupies 55,000 sqm of gaming innovation.
Providing an update from ExCeL, ICE Marketing Director Jo Mayer said: "Stand builders and designers are beginning the process of transforming the huge north and south halls at ExCeL into what by next Tuesday will be the most complete gaming event in the world, bursting with innovation and the big new gaming solutions of the year. For many exhibitors this is a huge logistical exercise, for example the Novomatic wagon train of vehicles required to transport everything from, literally, tons of catering supply to hundreds of plug converters, travels 941 miles (1514 kilometres) in Gumpoldskirchen, Austria to London."
The commitment displayed by ICE exhibitors is matched by the thousands of visitors who are expected to make the journey to London from over 100 nations. "All of the indications we are getting from the pre-reg data are positive" explained Jo Mayer. "Whilst the data can only provide a broad indication of what we can expect next week, the number of nationalities registered is at an all time high of 150 and the number of Asian attendees registering for badges is 24% higher than in 2013. The number of delegates registered to attend the ICE Conference programme, which begins on Monday 3rd, has beaten last year's total and we have had a huge level of interest in our free to enter seminar programme which comprises sessions on gaming in India, Tribal Gaming, Bitcoins, an IMGL Masterclass dealing with gaming convergence, sports betting and new trends in emerging and European jurisdictions as well as three days devoted to digital marketing, data and IT and security. In total there will be 49 ICE seminars, conferences, events, and meetings taking place during the week plus, of course those organised by exhibitors and the 22 associations/organisations attending the event."
"ICE is a celebration of international gaming and an exhilarating shop window on what the industry has to offer across all of its sectors from street to lottery, bingo to betting, social to mobile and casino to online."
