Bulgarian MPs to adopt 2014 State Budget Act at second reading

Sofia. Bulgarian MPs will adopt today the 2014 State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria Act at second reading.

Yesterday they held an extraordinary five-hour sitting but did not manage to adopt a single article, arguing instead where to legally place the revenues expected from the 20 percent fee on revenue from wind and solar power installations.
The draft agenda of today’s plenary sitting also includes as its first item voting on amendments to the Gambling Act at first reading. The debates concerning the amendments were held last week yet voting on them was postponed as the MPs could not meet the required forum. The amendments aim at improving the conditions under which operating licences are granted to companies offering gambling services and the taxation applied to such companies.
The Parliament will hold a “blitz parliamentary control session” when questions will be posed to the Prime Minister and his Deputies.
