28/06/11 – The Italian gambling regulator AAMS and the French online gambling regulator ARJEL signed the first bilateral agreement between gambling regulators of two different jurisdictions on remote gambling. The agreement aims to foster the cooperation and effective combat of illegal websites, promote the compliance with ethical principles in sports competitions, monitor and support operators acting legally and protect players. In particular, it seeks to ease the regulatory burden for companies wishing to operate in more than one country.
