New product combines proven recycling technology with the reliable SC product line to raise performance expectations associated with note recycling
Malvern, PA, May 19, 2015 – The MEI SCR note acceptor has proven its ability to meet demanding performance expectations after months of trials in Germany. Now, customers can integrate and order a product that offers improvements on measurements that directly impact an operators’ bottom line: increased machine uptime and enhanced security.
“Many markets within Europe have seen the value of recycling,” said Eric Fisher, CPI president of Gaming. “The SCR now exists because customers demanded it be done more efficiently. I’m confident CPI has delivered upon its promise to redefine expectations associated with recycling in Gaming.”
The introduction of the MEI SCR is similar to what occurred with CASHFLOW SC in 2002 and has since led to the production of more than 1.5 million units. The base value proposition revolves around a single truism – the payment system that offers the industry’s best acceptance rate, jam rate, security and cost of ownership will increase operators’ profitability.
Designing a two-denomination note recycler that could achieve new standards for those key metrics was made possible by collaboration with NOVOMATIC subsidiaries Löwen Entertainment and Austrian Gaming Industries (AGI). “Their exceptional feedback helped enhance SCR with several features that raise the bar for performance and fraud protection,” said Mr. Fisher.
“It was a pleasure to work together with CPI to create a product that will add value for our operators and their customers,” said Max Lindenberg, director of marketing at AGI. “SCR is attuned to the needs of the German market. Its ability to improve uptime and cash security enables us to deliver on our commitment to offer customers the highest performing products.”
SCR combines insight from market leaders with proven technology to offer a new sense of reliability even at product launch. At the heart of the SCR is the proven SC Advance note acceptor. Recycling mechanics have been imported from hardened designs developed from other MEI-branded products. Then, to protect operators from losses associated with criminal activity, SCR has been fortified with numerous security features, including a removable anti-stringing module, lockable transport doors, entrance/exit sensors and “door open” detection even in a powered down state.
Additional elements further differentiate SCR from other products in the market:
- Its small footprint strikes the right balance with capacity to significantly improve uptime in diverse applications.
- Its two recyclers can be configured via software, further reducing downtime.
- Industry-leading note-to-note speed and first-pass acceptance of valid street-grade notes keeps players satisfied.
- A specialized note path facilitates quick and easy maintenance without providing access to secured notes.
“Operators in Germany have been challenged to find an efficient, secure and cost-effective way to manage their cash,” said Mr. Fisher. “The field trials have proven that they now have an ideal solution. SCR’s ability to meet, and exceed, those needs makes it ideal for Gaming environments around the world.
“CPI takes a tremendous amount of pride in offering industry-leading products and customer service. SCR moves us closer to our goal of building a comprehensive portfolio of products so our customers can match the right solution to their individual application.”
