INTERVIEW QUESTIONS


GS: So far this year, you have entered some new markets. What’s the company current position and what are EGT Interactive plans for the nearest future? 

 

Strategic expansion is part of our policy for development. We are constantly looking for new opportunities and following the current trend of the regulative framework in the newly opened markets, we are aiming to certify our products according to the lawful requirements in every new territory. 

 

GS: How do you remain competitive in the market? Do you think your established reputation plays a role in your success?


For sure our reputation of a renowned brand helps for the success of the company, but there are also number of factors that adhere to our overall succes, such as providing a great product with tested and proven mathematical algorythm, graphics and overall experience; overall high brand awareness and popularity among players in different markets; well established network of trusted partners and base of fan players. 

Another big challenge for providers nowadays is to stay true to their principles and ahead of the growing competition. With the enlargement of the markets many of them strive to fulfil the various desires and preferences of millions of players. Transferring the 15 years of experience of EGT’s (Euro Game Technology’s) land-based casino games to the world of iGaming, EGT Interactive’s portfolio of online casino games is notable for its original look and traditional characteristics and this is our unique characteristics, setting us apart from the competition. 

 

GS: From your perspective, how has the gambling industry changed since you first entered the scene?


For sure the whole industry is getting more and more player protection oriented. The new regulators are taking the rein of the industry with high requirements to both operators and providers, which makes all parties more alert as to the new trends. On the innovation side, it looks like, still, the gambling industry is following a pretty repetitive and familiar approach, sticking to what has been proven as working. We are now more and more hearing about the necessity of innovation and specific approach in the whole sector, due to the changes in the preferences of the new generation of players that we are already observing.

 

GS: How hard is it actually to be successful in the online gambling world nowadays?


It is really not an easy one. On the content provider side, we are witnessing great competition. Products are being developed and released in tons. Out of this huge amount of content, just a handful titles turn out to be really successful in the end of the year. At the same time, operators need to be more and more innovative and player - oriented, in order to be able not only to capture the attention of the players, but also win their loyalty in the long-term.  

 

GS: If you could change anything in the world of gambling what would that be?


The mindset – or how the other industries see us. Gambling, in general, has been around long before us and will remain for many years to come. Important fact is that with the ever-growing player-protection requirements, a safer environment for players within the industry is being created. Nowadays, we are witnessing newly adopted legislations being imposed in more and more markets. The new framework of norms is embraced by all players within the industry as it not only protects the players, but also gives certainty to providers and operators that are “playing by the rules”. 

 

GS: Who or what inspires you in your career and why? 


It is the people that i meet every day. Passion, dedication, fair play, are some of the main traits that always inspire me, along with the possibility to build strong connections and friendships within the industry.  


GS: How are you preparing for the upcoming BEGE 2019? 


Currently, we are putting together the final touch of our expo stand and video presentation. This year, in the core of our presentation lays the interactive concept,  highlighted by great visuals of some of our latest and hottest game releases.  


GS: What does BEGE mean for EGT’s plans and what are your expectations for this year’s show?


For us, BEGE 2019 is probably one of the most important expos throughout the year, in terms of presence and taking and stand. It is simply because it is situated in Bulgaria – our own market. It also drives close partners, mainly from the nearby markets in Eastern and Central Europe where we have positioned ourselves as a Tier 1 content provider. It also gives us the possibility to meet face-to-face with our base of fan players and have some great time. 

 

GS: Which of your products or aspects will draw the most interest according to your expectations?


Egypt Quest is one of the titles that really stands out, especially having in mind that this is one of the latest releases of the company. Egypt Quest is a new approach to 6 of the most played titles from our portfolio, giving the player a chance for double winnings and many special features, such as free spins and bonuses. Rise of Ra, Burning Hot, 20 Super Hot, Halloween, Circus Brilliant and Egypt Sky are already familiar to the audience, but are now placed in a separate portal with a new bonus game, comprising of 4 Mystery Jackpot Levels. We have already released the new game for number of territories and it has lined up in the top 20 performing titles during the first month of its launch. 

As usual, we also expect great interest in the “Hot” series, as well as in the latest released slots from the portfolio - Volcano Wealth and Burning Hot (6 reels). 


GS: Will you organize exclusive activities, prizes or surprises at your stand during BEGE 2019?


As every other year, this year many surprises and great entertainment program are awaiting the visitors of the EGT stand. 

 

GS: How's EGT Interactive's agenda regarding further projects for the next months?

 

We will continue our expansion in several new regulated markets. Currently our main focuses are towards Italy, Denmark and Switzerland. We are also looking forward to further develop our network of operators in the brand - new territories of Spain and Sweden. Several great new projects in terms of new products and features are also in last stages of development and we are looking forward to releasing them very soon and we are of course in preparation already for the next expo, that will be a symbolic closure of a very busy and successful year – that of Sigma in Malta, just days after BEGE Expo. 


GS: What advice would you give to others who are just starting out in the industry?

 

Staying true to their principle and finding their core market and main competitive advantage. Important to mention is also that they need to have a great product and trusted partners in order to be able to thrive. Our industry, no matter how competitive, is pretty much dependent on each other. Content providers, operators, platform providers, affiliates, they all have the same main goal - providing the best experience to the players.
