HONG KONG, China (6 June 2018) – Asian Attractions Expo 2018, the premier internationaltrade show and conference for attractions industry professionals in the Asia Pacific region,opens today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Hong Kong,China. Hosted by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA),Asian Attractions Expo 2018 will run for three days until 8 June.
This year the Expo is honoredto have the Michael Wong, JP, Secretary for Development of the HKSAR Government joinIAAPA’s senior leadership and officiate the Opening Ceremony.
Global exhibits for attractions, entertainment, and more
Asian Attractions Expo 2018 features over 300 exhibiting companies from more than 30countries and regions, across more than 9,500 net square meters of trade show floor area.Among them, 81 new companies will exhibit on the trade show floor for the first time.Throughout the event, top international manufacturers and suppliers will debut and unveil newproducts, services, and technology. Products and services on display include state-of-the-artrides, motion simulators, virtual reality, water attractions, video and skill games, as well as thelatest in theming, technology applications, food-and-beverage innovations, and more.
Over 8,000 attractions industry professionals from more than 50 countries and regions areexpected to gather together to discover new ways to grow their business by learning from andsharing industry best practices and knowledge while making connections that can only be foundat Asian Attractions Expo 2018.
15 expert-led education sessions deliver industry insights
Apart from the rich product offerings to be found on the show floor, attendees can also benefitfrom an abundance of learning and networking opportunities during Asian Attractions Expo2018’s education sessions.
Asian Attractions Expo 2018 will offer 15 education sessions with in-depth programs led byleading industry professionals from around the world, including executives from Universal Parksand Resorts, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Samsung, and more. Session topics will coverleadership, advances in technology, delivering great experiences and other hot subjects. The Asia Pacific Spotlight session will discuss the region’s fast-growing economy, the latest trends,and topics including safety, human resources, marketing, and new rides.
Special events and networking at Hong Kong’s elite attractions
Asian Attraction Expo 2018’s attendees can also enjoy many unique and memorableopportunities at various special events. The Expo will begin with a networking receptioncelebrating IAAPA’s 100 th anniversary. Throughout the week, learning opportunities will takeplace both inside HKCEC and on-site at local attractions throughout Hong Kong for exclusiveeducation tours (EDUTours), allowing attractions industry professionals to make newconnections and share ideas with like-minded colleagues.
