THE RESULTS  of the 9th Moscow International Exhibition  «Amusement Rides and Entertainment Equipment  RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2015»

The 9th Moscow International Exhibition «Amusement Rides and Entertainment Equipment RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2015» was held with great success on October 19th through 21st in pavilion 69, VDNH.

The Organizer of the exhibition is Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA). The General Sponsor is PAX, Group of companies. The media partners are the magazines KIR, Attractions and Entertainments, Sport B2B and the web portal VTORIO.COM.The exhibition hosted around 100 companies from Russia, Poland, Italy, Belarus, Ukraine, France and Turkey representing all key trends of modern amusement industry: amusement rides for parks, 5D cinema, interactive games, simulators, arcade games, equipment for play and sport grounds, shooting galleries, trampolines, theme design for parks and attractions, access control systems, automation systems, equipment for billiards, bowling, water parks etc.14 companies-exhibitors participated in the exhibition for the first time. Among the novelties presented by them there were 5D rides, new versions of arcade games, robots, new methods of theming and design for FECs and parks, rope courses, 3D-helmets (games), 3D shooting galleries, ski simulators, water shooting gallery and much more.Traditionally, all major Russian manufacturers and suppliers of amusement rides and entertainment equipment took part in the exhibition. Let us point out some peculiarities of this autumn.In anticipation of the New Year festivals, a lot of winter theming products were demonstrated at the exhibition. For example, visitors had a chance to get inside the snow globe made by Aerodinamika, then they could take a photo and take part in a competition by posting it in social networks. This product aroused the interest of FEC operators. BigDecor presented many original products for decorating parks: from glowing deer to giant snowflakes.Gorsky Studio mounted a kiddie interactive module capable not only to entertain but to educate kids. The visitors’ attention was also attracted by a big inflatable carrousel-samovar produced by Sparta. Adrenaline Game presented new touch-screen machines with original play content. Perhaps, the scariest booth was Themebuilders with dummies and pieces for horror houses. On the eve of the Halloween, these products were of great interest.During the exhibition days, visitors could benefit from a special bargain offer at RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2015 which allowed buyers to purchase amusement rides and other equipment on special discounted rates.Surprisingly, RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2015 was visited by a large number of specialists. Despite the economic crises and the spring RAAPA EXPO being the main focus of the majority of industry specialists, the exhibitors noted a great number of target clients. Overall, the exhibition was visited by around 2000 specialists: directors of parks, representatives of cities’ and regions’ administrations and authorities, directors of FECs, resorts, events agencies, amusement facilities, waterparks, entrepreneurs, and other parties of concern.


The exhibition was accompanied by an intensive business program.The day before the exhibition, on Sunday, October 18th, the offsite seminar «The Efficient Business Models of FECs» was held; during the tour participants got acquainted with the work of three entertainment centers of different formats: a renovated FEC XL, a new kiddie center PLAY LAB, and a renovated FEC Cosmic-Waypark. The main objective of the tour was to show the centers having operated for many years and managed to maintain efficiency in difficult economic circumstances.At the round table «Creating the New Year’s Atmosphere in Amusement Parks and FECs» the leading experts reported about new and traditional ways of decorating parks and indoors for New Year festivals. The presentation covered inflatable constructions, lighting installations, ice sculptures, scenery from polyfoam, etc.Another interesting event was the joint workshop by specialists from EntenS Group and one of the biggest amusement park City-park Grad, Voronezh. The subject of the workshop was the Effective Marketing based on the experience of increasing revenues during the 2015 season.The new subject of the exhibition program was food trucks. A special offsite seminar devoted to «The Latest Technologies for Organizing a Food and Beverage Service in Parks and Outdoors» was held on the premises of a specialized training center. During the days of the autumn exhibition, the session on the safe and efficient operation of amusement rides was held by RAAPA Training and Education Center (October 19th-24th). 50 specialists from 25 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan came to get new knowledge. For the first time specialists from Crimea were among the participants.Totally, over 300 amusement industry specialists took part in the business program of RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2015.RAAPA EXPO AUTUMN-2015 was distinguished by its productivity and effectiveness. The majority of exhibitors notice that every year the number of visitors grows, for the most part potential buyers coming to purchase equipment and services here and now. However, visitors were also much surprised by new exciting products and new brands. The results of the autumn exhibition once again confirmed the importance and relevance among amusement industry professionals of Russia.
