The team responsible for staging ICE Conferences, EiG, GiGse and the WrB series, has been working closely with the Brasilian authorities to organise and host the first Brasilian Gaming Congress (BgC).
The ‘by invitation only’ event, which will be held across 18th/19th/20th November 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, will provide international companies an opportunity to engage with the Brasilian government as the country is reviewing its stance on regulating online sports betting in advance of the country hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup followed by the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Kate Chambers, who is responsible for Clarion’s portfolio of highly regarded gaming conferences, in addition to ICE Totally Gaming, the world’s biggest gaming exhibition, said: “Our aim is to be gaming’s event organiser of choice and to be able to host Brasil’s key institutional influencers, such as SEAE and Caixa at the Brasilian Gaming Congress, speaks volumes for the quality of work undertaken by the team across all of our gaming brands. Brasil is a very significant market on different levels. Economically and socially it has a growing, affluent middle class and politically there is now the will to debate the benefits of regulation and to hear the best practice in regulating and operating gaming from around the world.“
This is a rare opportunity to listen to and network with the political figures who will be shaping the future of gaming in what is one of the world’s key strategic markets. The Congress will be by invitation only and the attendance will be capped in order to accommodate the high level political networking that will be at the heart of BgC.”
The first Brasilian Gaming Congress, supported by Codere of Brasil, Betconstruct, GLI, Inspired Gaming Group, NYX Gaming Group, Tradologic and including media support from Band TV, BNL, Yogonet, SAGSE, will take place across 18th/19th/20th November 2013 in Rio de Janeiro.
