In only two weeks’ time Eventus International will be uniting the Southeast Asian gaming markets at its upcoming SPiCE Philippines 2022, taking place from 26 – 28 October at the luxurious Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu, in the Philippines.
SPiCE Philippines already boasts an exceptional line-up of industry leading speakers, who will share their thoughts on the current state of the market in the Philippines and Southeast Asia as a whole. One such speaker is Mr Danny Too, Director of Sales & Business Development Asia, GO Racing.
Danny carries over 22 years of experience in the gaming, hospitality and travel industries and iGaming and Land-Based expertise across 3 continents. He also has a special interest in success building for iGaming aspirants while being multilingual and able to consult in 7 languages and 2 Chinese dialects.
We took a moment to interview Danny and get his insights on the current market situation and what he expects from SPiCE Philippines 2022.
Eventus: Mr Too, how did you first get involved with the Gaming sector?
Mr Danny Too: I first got involved in the Gaming sector back in Year 2000, that was 22 years ago. I remembered waiting for 5 hours in order to get a shot to be interviewed for the post of Operations Executive in a local slots’ parlour. And needless to say, the rest is history.
Eventus: Mr Too, being a speaker on the panel at SPiCE Philippines 2022 what are you most looking forward to at the event?
Mr Danny Too: The Covid-19 pandemic has totally changed the gaming landscape. At the same time, it has also proven that face-to-face communications & interactions are so crucial in the gaming industry. Having said that, it is the networking and keeping myself abreast on the latest development in the gaming world that excites me the most in this upcoming SPiCE Philippines 2022 event.
Eventus: What advice can you give to operators who are looking to enter the Southeast Asian market?
Mr Danny Too: Make sure you have these 5 elements covered: 1) Good products & platform; 2) Spectacular customer service; 3) Robust payment solutions; 4) Strong technical team; 5) Fantastic business relationships + Out of the world marketing implementations.
Eventus: In your opinion what are some of the opportunities in the Philippine Market?
Mr Danny Too: Philippines by itself is a country with more than 100 million population. The sheer number of people in this country is an opportunity by itself. In addition, Philippines can be considered as the sole country in Asia with a proper & regulated iGaming legal framework and the biggest advantage has over its peers is that the locals can participate in the gaming activities offered in this country.
Eventus: Please provide a brief statement of what you believe the audience at SPiCE Philippines 2022 can take away from attending this event:
