China to Drive Global Vending & Smart Retail Market Growth

On the Vending Front

With 100-200 thousand new equipment added to the market yearly, there will be 2.08 million vending machines in use across China in 2025. The global vending market is estimated to grow from 40.5 billion yuan in 2019 to 49.6 billion yuan in 2026, at a CAGR of 2.9%.

On the Smart Retail Front

2017-2019, the CAGR of China’s smart retail market was as high as 115%, and the market is projected to surpass 1800 billion yuan by 2022. With a CAGR hovering at 24.12% from 2019 to 2024, It’s been estimated that the global smart retail market will increase to 38.5 billion dollars in 2023.

Review of VRE 2021

Gathering 700 exhibitors on a record 50,000 sq.m show floor, throughout the hectic three days, the show counted over 100,000 visits. Not expecting so huge a crowd, many exhibitors ran out of product catalogs on the second day and gaily announced that they would be more prepared next year.
