Now in it’s 5th year, the EiG LaunchPad has been a platform for innovative start-ups to pitch their ideas to a panel of experts, investors and to a room full of EiG high-level attendees.The 2012 compeition, which took place on the second day of the 11th European iGaming Congress & Expo in Barcelona, Wednesday 17, featured presentations from five start-ups, all vying for the chance to be picked by the judging panel and the EiG audience of top level executives. The presenters included:

George Zaloom, CEO, Goplay
Dave Tharp, Founder and Managing Director, Living Sports
Julien de Preaumont, Founder and CEO, Sofun Gaming
Each speaker gave a passionate overview of their company’s offering before taking questions from the judging panel, that included:

Phil Cronin, CEO, Tombola
Mark Blandford, Chairman, Valhalla Investments and Founder, Sportingbet
Evan Hoff, Partner, Velo Partners
Uri Levy, VP Business Development, Playtech
Melissa Blau, Director, iGaming Capital, the LaunchPad long-time supporter and moderator commented: “This year the LaunchPad was remarkably strong. We had 27 submissions, about twice as many as we received last year so, from an innovation standpoint, I think it’s fantastic.”
Following the presentations, UK-based Living Sports came away with the Start-up LaunchPad 2012 title. Dave Tharp, Founder and Managing Director of Living Sports said, “We are absolutely delighted to have competed against some very good business ideas and ultimately to win LaunchPad 2012. The process itself has been very rewarding and we look forward to building on our early successes and making long-term relationships with the people we’ve met at EiG.”
Living Sports has partnered with Zukido for the betting and gaming market and it was through this partnership that Zukido brought Living Sports to EiG to compete at the Launchpad.
