Frost promises action on electronic payment as he is confirmed as President of EUROMAT

The Annual General Meeting of the European Gaming and Amusement Federation (heldin Berlin on the 2nd of June 2017) confirmed Jason Frost as its next President serving atwo-year term. He will be supported by Uwe Christiansen (representing EUROMAT’sGerman association members 1 ), who was elected as Vice-President and MirjanaAcimovic of JAKTA in Serbia, who was re-elected as Treasurer.

Commenting on his election, Jason Frost said: “It’s a real privilege to serve our industryEurope-wide. Never has EUROMAT been more needed by its members.

“We’re moving towards becoming a cashless society and yet this fact seems to beignored by regulators. I’m making a call today to the European regulatory community toget round the table with us and help us to find a way forward together.

“Like any other business we need to be able to offer electronic payment and payback aswell as cash. It is better for business but also better for the player who will find it easierto pre-commit, setting limits on spend and time. Regulators understand the value of thisin the online market and with our existing ability to monitor our players they shouldrealise how valuable this can be for social responsibility. It’s a win-win”.

Frost joins EUROMAT after a successful spell as President of the British AmusementCatering Trades Association (BACTA) where he oversaw a growth in membership.
