Street Basketball and Spectacular Dunks Bring Heat to Arena Armeec Sofia Hall between 9-11 September 2016.
The Tournament Will be Held during the Sports Game Evolution Festival in Association with the Bulgarian Basketball Federation. The activities during Game Evolution – the largest festival of electronic and traditional sports in Bulgaria, will also bring a basketball flavour. A street basketball tournament, including dunks will be held in front of Arena Armeec Sofia hall between 9 - 11 September 2016 with the support of the Bulgarian Basketball Federation and a prize fund of BGN 1 000.
On the occasion of the tournament, the Federation will set up two synthetic courts and hydraulic poles. The tournament will be held in three age groups: juniors below 15 YO, boys and girls below 18 YO and men and women over 18 YO. The competitions for the juniors will start on 9. September (Friday) at 13:30 and registration will be open at the venue from 12 o’clock. Boys and girls below 18 YO and men and women over 18 YO will be playing on the 10th and 11th respectively, starting at 13:30. The rest of the teams who qualify for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will receive many additional prizes and the special event’s host and DJ will guarantee the good mood of all visitors.
Game Evolution takes place with Sofia Municipality and Sofia – European Capital of Sport Foundation as endorsers and will offer an impressive range of activities for all ages during the three-days festival, including open tournaments in different computer games, a dance show, a cosplay contest, demonstrations of skateboarding and American football, virtual reality, a racing zone, a three-meter high surprise at the official opening, raffles, prizes and many more. The tickets for the highly anticipated event are at a price of BGN 25 for the three days of the festival. Kids under 6 are free, and pensioners and disabled people are offered a discount of up to 50%.
