Dance Evolution – Bulgaria’s Dance Battles!

The Best Funk, Breakdance and Hip-Hop Teams Will Compete for the First Place during Game Evolution 2016.

Today the organizers of Game Evolution officially confirmed yet another happening they have prepared for the visitors of the festival’s first edition. The best funk, b-boying (break) and hip-hop dancers will compete during the spectacular battles Dance Evolution between 9-11 September 2016 in Arena Armeec Sofia Hall.

Twenty-four of the best dancers in Bulgaria will hit the big stage in 8 teams, three people each. They will fight the dance battles 3:3, one and the same team combining the popular funk, b-boying and hip-hop styles. The team to demonstrate top dancing skills before the large audience will grab the first award of BGN 1.200, and many additional prizes will be handed to the rest of the contestants.

“We decided to organize Dance Evolution in order to get more people acquainted with the dynamic funk and b-boy cultures, as well as to offer a performance stage to the talented, yet unknown dance masters”, commented Dimitar Alexandrov, organizer. “We are sure that Dance Evolution will captivate the hearts, minds and imagination of both hip-hop fans and the rest of the visitors since these battles will be unmatched and will substantiate the fact that mutual respect and understanding between the different music cultures is mission possible.”

In addition to master dancing and great music Game Evolution 2016 - the largest festival of electronic and traditional sports in Bulgaria with Sofia Municipality and Sofia – European Capital of Sport Foundation as endorsers, will offer a rich range of activities for all ages, including tournaments in some of the most popular e-games (CS:GO, League of Legends, Overwatch, Hearthstone, WarCraft 3, FIFA), a sports show and competitions in street basketball, extreme sports, American football and others, a cosplay contest, high-tech virtual world goggles and a specially-designed racing zone.

The organizers have also prepared an explosive opening ceremony including a three-meter high surprise, raffles, prizes and many more during the festival.
